Sony, in its latest press release, has just revealed that it has sold 18.5 million PlayStation 4 consoles worldwide. Of that number, the holiday period between Nov 23, 2014 to Jan 4, 2015 saw 4.1 million consoles sold.
In August of last year, Sony revealed that 10 million PS4 units had been purchased by users and later remarked in October that 13.5 million units had been shipped to retailers.
Sony also noted that 81.8 million PS4 games have been sold since Nov 23, 2013 and that there are currently 10.9 million PlayStation Plus subscribers.
