Gamers heads turned in unison around the world when it was discovered that 18-rated content was banned on Microsoft’s Windows App Store.

However, Microsoft has now lifted the ban stating that they are “expanding our commitment to Windows Store games”.

“In welcoming PEGI 18 games into the Store, we again reinforce two principles – flexibility and confidence – fundamental to the Windows Store. We recognise that people have come to expect and appreciate rich gaming experiences on Windows and this includes games rated PEGI 18.”

Does upcoming 18-rated content (such as Grand Theft Auto) interest you in making the jump from iOS to Windows Store perhaps?
