<p><strong>Best Multiplayer:</strong> Camilla Ludington, the voice of Lara Croft from <em>Rise of the Tomb Raider</em>, presented the award for Best Multiplayer. The award went to Nintendo&#8217;s <em>Splatoon</em>.</p>
<p><strong>Best Mobile Handheld Game:</strong> Following the announcement of Best Multiplayer, it was announced that <em>Lara Croft Go</em> won Best Mobile Handheld Game.</p>
<p><strong>Best E-Sports Team:</strong> Following Shaq&#8217;s announcement of a <em>Shaq Fu</em> sequel and the E-League national television event, Shaq announced the E-Sports Team of the Year: Optic Gaming. This award was voted on by fans.</p>
<p><strong>Best Narrative:</strong> Video game voice actor Troy Baker announced the award for Best Narrative in a Video Game. The award went to <em>Her Story</em>.</p>
<p><strong>Favorite Trending Gamer:</strong> The award for Favorite Trending Gamer has gone to Greg Miller of IGN and KindaFunny.com. This award was voted on by fans.</p>
<p><strong>Best Indie Game:</strong> Churches, after performing a song live on The Game Awards, came out to present the award for Best Indie Game. The award went to <em>Rocket League.</em></p>
<p><strong>Best Sports/Racing Game:</strong> Along with winning the award for Best Indie Game, <em>Rocket League</em> took home the award for Best Sports/Racing Game.</p>
<p><strong>Games for Impact: </strong>Games for Impact is an award that goes to games with a mission and that strive to see the world in a different way. The award went to <em>Life is Strange.</em></p>
<p><strong>Best Fan Game:</strong> This award goes to games developed and produced completely by fans. The award went to <em>Portal Stories:Mel</em> by Prism Studios.</p>
<p><strong>Best Developer:</strong> Conan O&#8217;Brien presented the nominees for Best Developer in a pre-recorded segment based on the Clueless Gamer shorts from his television show. The award went to CD Projekt Red, developers of <em>The Witcher 3.</em></p>
<p><strong>Best Art Direction: </strong>Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, presented the award for Best Art Direction to Moon Studios for their game <em>Ori and the Blind Forest.</em></p>
<p><strong>Industry Icon Award:</strong> Kiefer Sutherland, voice actor in <em>Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,</em> presented the Industry Icon Award to Westwood Industries, creators of <em>Dune 2</em> and <em>Command and Conquer</em>. Louis Castle and Brett Sperry accepted the award.</p>
<p><strong>Best Action/Adventure Game:</strong> Mark Hamill, who plays Luke in the <em>Star Wars</em> movies and who voices Joker in the <em>Batman: Arkham</em> games, and Chris Roberts presented the award for Best Action/Adventure Game to <em>Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.</em> The Award was accepted by Kiefer Sutherland, voice of Snake. This award was accepted by Sutherland on behalf of Hideo Kojima, who could not be present for the show.</p>
<p><strong>Best Soundtrack:</strong> Following a performance of Quiet Steam from the <em>Metal Gear Solid V</em> soundtrack by Stephanie Joosten, <em>Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain</em> received the award for Best Soundtrack.</p>
<p><strong>Best Performance:</strong> Jade Raymond, founder of EA&#8217;s Motive Studios, presented the award for Best Performance to Viva Seifert for her performance in <i>Her Story</i>.</p>
<p><strong>Game of the Year:</strong> Geoff Keighley, host and producer of The Game Awards, presented the award for Game of the Year to <em>The Witcher 3</em>.<em> The Witcher 3</em> also won <strong>Best Role Playing Game.</strong></p>
