Publisher Aksys has announced at their Anime Expo panel that they are localising Under Night In-Birth for the North American market. The game is a PS3 exclusive and will launch some time in 2015. Aksys specialises in bringing over niche Japanese titles and recently published the PS Vita RPG Mind Zero, which scored well in our review.
Part fighting game part visual novel, Under Night In-Birth is a collaboration between French Bread and Ecole Software. The studios have previously worked together on the Melty Blood franchise, a series of fighting games which began on the PC in 2002. Under Night allows both companies to create a game with a very different fighting system and a whole new cast of characters.
Under Night In-Birth will release in Japan on July 24 for the PS3. You can check out a trailer for it above.
