3 Things You Could Do To Kill the Time Until Fallout 4 Comes Out

Fallout 4 is easily among the most anticipated games ever to be released for the current generation of consoles, and if you are a fan of life in the wasteland, we don’t need to tell you that the wait until it is released in November is going to be a long one. The gameplay trailers for Fallout 4 look pretty amazing, but there are only so many times you can watch them before you go insane (aren’t there?). So, to keep you from simply wishing the next four months away, here are three ideas for things you can do while you wait until Bethesda unleash Fallout 4 on the world:

Play Fallout Shelter

If you use any iOS device, then you’re already in luck. Bethesda’s mobile Fallout spin-off, Fallout Shelter, is already available for you. If you use Android, you will still have a bit of a wait on your hands, as it won’t be available on your platform for about a month. That’s still better than waiting until November for a new Fallout to play, so we’ll take it!

Fallout Shelter puts you in charge of running your own vault, so while it’s gameplay’s very different from Fallout 4, if you’re a fan of the franchise, it’s going to at least keep you in references to Fallout lore and inside jokes, while providing a fun diversion.

Replay the Whole Series with Fallout Anthology

If you’re a console gamer, maybe you have never actually had a chance to play the original Fallout game, or Fallout 2 or Fallout Tactics. Now, you can own the full collection of all Fallout games to date (except Fallout Shelter, as that is an app) on PC in a really cool mini nuke shaped case – which has room for you to lovingly insert a Fallout 4 disc later on.

The versions of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas you get in this set are the Game of the Year and Ultimate editions respectively, so you get all of the DLC too. This adds up to way more than four months’ worth of game time and, of course, you have a cool collectors set to admire when you’re not playing them.

Hobbies, Exercise, Studying, Going Outside Etc.

The third option is something of a last resort. You could do something other than play Fallout games. You could play Scrabble with your dad, or go to the gym. You could work really hard and have the most productive summer ever. Or, Stave Puzzles do some great bespoke jigsaws, so you could pretend to be doing something wholesome while completing your custom puzzles of Brotherhood of Steel power armor and deathclaws.

There’s no denying it’s going to be a long wait, but, pick one of these approaches, keep calm, and before you know it you’ll have that coveted game in your hands!
