After 3 years, developer releases update for Metal Drift

<p>Developer Black Jacket Games has announced an update for its arena combat game <em>Metal  Drift<&sol;em> &&num;8211&semi; three years after the game&&num;8217&semi;s initial release on Steam&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The update has already gone live&comma; and according to a press release is intended to address &&num;8220&semi;many of the issues raised by players and critics&&num;8221&semi; in &&num;8220&semi;forum posts and direct e-mails over the last 3 years&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Metal Drift<&sol;em> shipped with a single arena&comma; but this has now been doubled with the inclusion of the new Wasteland arena&comma; along with an additional level variation named Javelin&period; The update also allows players of the demo to compete against players of the full game on the same servers&comma; and there are over twenty more features and fixes included within the update&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The press release states&comma; &&num;8220&semi;After years on the Steam store&comma; the Metal Drift player base continues to grow as they hone their skills and climb the leader boards&period; This update will offer the dedicated community new battlegrounds&comma; and a streamlined interface&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Weston Tracy&comma; co-founder of Black Jacket Games&comma; added&comma; &&num;8220&semi;Even though Metal Drift is well into a &OpenCurlyQuote;long-tail’ of diminished sales&comma; we love this game&comma; and we want to make it even better&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Black Jacket Games also stated its intention to release more updates for <em>Metal Drift<&sol;em> in the future even as it continues development on its second major title&comma; <em>Slime City<&sol;em>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
