Developer 38 Studios not only lost some of their staff due to recent layoffs but CEO Jen MacLean and senior VP of product development John Blakely have left the company as well.

The two former executives updated their LinkedIn profiles indicating that they have left the studio, according to a report by WPRI. Polygon has confirmed that the reports of their departure are accurate.

MacLean’s profile shows that she left officially left 38 Studios in March. She was reported to be on indefinite maternity leave. She has since indicated she is no longer with the studio as CEO.

Blakely worked at Sony Online Entertainment for nine years where he helped launch EverQuest II and DC Universe Online. Following Sony, he spent a brief time with Zynga before moving to 38 Studios. He was with the developer for five months.

According to Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chaffee, he’s doing everything he can to prevent 38 Studios from going under, but that communicating with the developer has been “frustrating.”
