Additionally, between CAG and NeoGAF, the original 3DS handheld is said to be getting a price drop to $139.99 in two weeks, with Target selling the system for $129.99. This can be taken as a rumor for the time being as both have stated that this could only be for a sale of some kind and not an official price drop.
Hopefully no one who bought a 3DS/XL recently comes across this rumor. I can only imagine that they’d be a little upset.
