<p>Microsoft has revealed that it has achieved a new milestone in Xbox 360 sales, by having 78.2 million of the machines in homes across the globe. This was achieved by the company selling one million consoles during the past three months.</p>
<p>In comparison, it is widely believed that the PS3 has current sold around 77 million units, whilst the Wii is close to selling 100 million consoles to date.</p>
<p>But the question is &#8211; how many of these are due to the fatal red ring of death?</p>
