According to Capcom, children of the 90’s will be able to relive their childhood. Capcom has announced that A Disney Afternoon Collection will be released on April 18 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This compilation will contain six classic Disney Capcom classics, Ducktales, Ducktales 2, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Chip ‘N Dale’s Rescue Rangers and Chip ‘N Dale’s Rescue Rangers 2 and is titled The Disney Afternoon Collection. Now don’t go thinking that these are all remastered with new sprites, that isn’t the case, these games will look as they did on the original Nintendo, so they may be a little ugly. What I can tell you though is that they are a blast and I’m truly thrilled Capcom is giving us this entire collection for on $19.99.

Capcom just isn’t giving us a barebones collection though, they have added some special features to the game. These games were crushingly difficult and Capcom was nice enough to add a Pause and Rewind button so if you miss that jump you can rewind and try again without losing precious lives. They added Time Attack where you race against the clock and have your time posted to leaderboards all over the world, so practice, practice, practice. Boss Rush mode is the same principle as Time Attack, you must beat the boss as quickly as possible so you can brag about it to your friends. And for some icing on the cake Capcom ha dug deep into their archives and found material from the games’ production like concept art, early sketches and different music.

Personally I cannot wait for this collection. I have Ducktales and Chip ‘N Dale’s Rescue Rangers on my NES and I played those for hours as a child. I look forward to finally playing the sequels to both of titles, I never got the chance to, but now Capcom is finally giving me that chance through The Disney Afternoon Collection!
