A Live Action Mighty No.9 Film Is Being Made

A feature length live action Mighty No.9 film has been announced today.

Legendary Digital Media, Contradiction Films, and video game developer comcept Inc are behind the project. It is digital only.

Contridiction Films previously produced and Legendary Digital Media distributed Dead Rising: Watchtower on Crackle earlier this year. A sequel to the film has been ordered by the service as it was exclusive to the platform. They also made the digital series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy.

Creator of Mighty No.9 Keiji Inafune said, “the announcement […]  is really amazing, not only for myself and the rest of the team at comcept who worked on the game, but also for all the fans who have supported the project.”

No other details were given about the project.

Comcept began a KickStarter last week for a project called Red Ash: The Indelible Legend, which also features a version of the main character of Mighty No.9 Beck.

The video game version of Mighty No.9 is set to release on September 15th for North America and September 18th for Europe.
