Ace Attorney Anime’s Premiere Date Announced

According to Anime News Network the Ace Attorney anime based on the game franchise will premiere on April 2nd.

Ace Attorney original launched as a game series by Capom in 2001 that became popular for its mysteries and range of personalities, not to mention the ability to object in a fictional courtroom based on the Japanese legal system. The full name of the anime show is Gyakuten Saiban: Sono “Shijitsu” Igi Ari! or Ace Attorney: That “Truth” is Objection! The anime is scheduled to air on two Japanese TV stations on Saturdays beginning this Spring.

Capcom has not revealed the anime’s storyline or even a teaser but the poster image released through their Japanese website reveals the beloved characters of Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth and Maya Fey along with the lovable and loyal Dick Gumshoe. Whether or not the anime will follow the game and/ or manga series has yet to be revealed.

Currently Capcom is developing Ace Attorney 6 for the 3DS and will be released sometime this year in Japan. And Western fans will be pleased to hear the company plans on releasing the game to the West although they have not confirmed a Western release date for this year. Ace Attorney 6 will be played from the prospective of both Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice.
