<p>Due to the upcoming release of <em>Borderlands 2&#8217;s</em> third DLC add-on, <em>Sir Hammerlock&#8217;s Big Game Hunt</em>, <a href="http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/community/articles/985/borderlands-2-gear-up-weekend">Gearbox is kicking off an in-game event</a> in which players can find a lot of powerful, you-should-probably-use-them shotguns.</p>
<p>The event starts today and ends tomorrow (Jan. 12th) at 10:55AM CST/4:55PM GMT/11:55 EST, but shortly after, something else (presumably another event) will be announced.</p>
<p>Should you want to take part in getting a bunch of ridiculously powerful guns, you&#8217;ll only have to start up an internet connected <em>Borderlands 2</em> and go looting. Easy, isn&#8217;t it?</p>
<p>Meanwhile, <em>Sir Hammerlock&#8217;s Big Game Hunt</em> is set to release on January 15th (next Tues).</p>
