Activision vs West/Zampella Settlement Reached

<p>The legal drama between Activision and former Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vince Zampella has come to an end and a settlement has been reached&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>An attorney has told <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;theverge&period;com&sol;gaming&sol;2012&sol;5&sol;31&sol;3049988&sol;activision-call-of-duty-trial-placeholder">Polygon<&sol;a>&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;We have reached a settlement in this matter as to all parties and all claims&comma;&&num;8221&semi; said Daniel Petrocelli&comma; one of the attorneys for West and Zampella&period; &&num;8220&semi;Dismissals will be filed soon&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>While specifics of the settlement have not been released&comma; Activision has released the following statement&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;The company does not believe that the incremental one-time charges related to the settlement will result in a material impact on its GAAP or non-GAAP earnings per share outlook for the current quarter or the calendar year&comma; due to stronger-than-expected operating performance in the current quarter&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>EA also released a statement following the settlement&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Activision’s refusal to pay their talent and attempt to blame EA were absurd&period;  This settlement is a vindication of Vince and Jason&comma; and the right of creative artists to collect the rewards due for their hard work&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lpar;Via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;gameinformer&period;com&sol;b&sol;news&sol;archive&sol;2012&sol;05&sol;31&sol;activision-settles-with-west-zampella&period;aspx">Game Informer<&sol;a>&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
