Activision/Infinity Ward Ex-Bosses Court Case To Take Place June 1

<p>Not the best timing for Activision&comma; is it&quest; For those who may be unaware&comma; June 1 is RIGHT BEFORE E3&period; When gearing up to showcase some big name titles at a major gaming event&comma; it&&num;8217&semi;s a given that legal woes prior don&&num;8217&semi;t quite make for good PR &lpar;just ask <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;city-national-bank-sues-konami-over-loan&sol;">Konami<&sol;a>&rpar;&period; Activision&&num;8217&semi;s legal battle was supposed to take place on the 29th of this month but will take place next month instead&comma; as it was pushed back by Judge Elihu Berle&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s supposed to last 20 days but the judge mentioned it probably won&&num;8217&semi;t as the case is &&num;8216&semi;not that complicated&period;&&num;8217&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The entire issue began back in May 2010 when former bosses of Infinity Ward&comma; Vince Zampella and Jason West were fired by Activision just before the release of <em>Modern Warfare 2<&sol;em>&period; They then sued Activision for &&num;8216&semi;unfair dismissal&&num;8217&semi;&period; Activision in turn&comma; countersued and stated Zampella and West were in cahoots with EA&comma; making the legal battle messier by involving their arch nemesis&period; EA were then pulled into an interference suit for &dollar;400 million&comma; for allegedly trying to work with Zampella and West&period; EA have since settled their court-related differences with Activision but the case between Activision and the former Infinity Ward bosses still remains&period; Phew&period; If that left your head spinning&comma; don&&num;8217&semi;t worry&comma; it probably did so to just about everyone&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lpar;Via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;computerandvideogames&period;com&sol;349121&sol;activision-infinity-ward-legal-battle-delayed-for-e3-showdown&sol;&quest;cid&equals;OTC-RSS&amp&semi;attr&equals;CVG-General-RSS&amp&semi;utm&lowbar;source&equals;dlvr&period;it&amp&semi;utm&lowbar;medium&equals;twitter">CVG<&sol;a>&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
