Agent 47 Is a Slo-Mo, Super-Human Hitman This Summer

Eight years after Timothy Olyphant bore the iconic suit and pistols, it’s actor Rupert Friend’s turn at shooting his way through city streets as a living, breathing incarnation of IO Interactive’s Hitman – though you could hardly tell through his cold stares.

Hitman: Agent 47, as it’s being called, is about a genetically engineered assassin trained as the perfect killing machine, known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He’s strong enough to bulldoze his way through the 5th marine division from the looks of it, and there’s plenty of cars for him to smash too.

Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful pursuers through her mysterious ancestry, 47 squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe – “waah waah” musical cues, we think.

Despite being slated for a release this month, Hitman: Agent 47 will see an Aug. 28th release in theaters worldwide. The bullet-ridden blockbuster stars Rupert Friend as the eponymous Hitman of question, Agent 47. The film also stars Hanna Ware as his female companion, Zachary Quinto, Thomas Kretschmann, Dan Bakkehdahl, and Emilio Rivera.
