Oskari Hakkinen, head of franchise development for Remedy Entertainment claims that the next generation consoles will be a significant leap forward in comparison to current generation hardware.
During a German interview in Gamesindustry International (Translated by GameSpot) Hakkinen revealed that Remedy Entertainment is currently working on a next generation project, and claimed that the hardware for the next generation will be more than a menial improvement.
“Right now we’re working as always with a relatively small team on a next-generation project,” Hakkinen explained. “You always ask yourself: Can the new consoles really be that much better than the old ones? Be assured: They are. It is a quantum leap forward.”
No other information was revealed regarding what system he was speaking of, or the nature of the game they have in development.
Remedy Entertainment’s job page supports the claims made, as they were listing a staff hiring notice for work on a next generation game.
