On February 6th 1C and developer Destructive Creations announced that Ancestors Legacy, a squad-based real-time strategy, would be released May 22nd, 2018 for Windows PC and Xbox One. The Windows PC version will be released worldwide through digital outlets, including Steam, with the boxed retail version available in selected countries. Xbox One digital version will hit the online Xbox Store on the same day.
In Ancestors Legacy you command an army and storm through medieval Europe in an extensive series of campaigns. Players choose one of the four available nations – Viking, Anglo-Saxon, German, Slav – and are tasked with more than just conquering, raiding and pillaging enemy camps, villages, and towns. Only by using the entire gambit of tactical options, taking strategic advantage of the terrain, and managing their temporary bases and settlements, will they triumph.
Can’t wait till May to get in on the action? No worries! The Open Multiplayer PC Beta is live right now! After offering first glimpses to select players and media last year, in closed single-player and multiplayer betas, Ancestors Legacy is now open for everyone to try it out. All four nations represented in the game are playable within the open beta version on one of the three maps, ranging in size from 2 to 6 players (1v1, 2v2 and 3v3). Players can be accompanied by the AI, friends, family, or simply join the lobby and wait for a partner to be found.
Ancestors Legacy is available for pre-order now through Steam and other selected digital stores. Fans who pre-order will receive a full digital Collector’s Edition of Ancestors Legacy, which contains the original soundtrack composed by Adam Skorupa and Krzysztof Wierzynkiewicz, and a digital art book put together by the art team at Destructive creations, in addition to a 10% discount off its price, set at €39.99/$44.99 USD – the same price as for the final base game (without the DLC) in the PC digital version.
