<h3 id="page_header" class="same-width-as-main" style="text-align: center">Deaimon Manga Gets Anime Adaptation</h3>
<p>This week, the official Twitter account for Kadokawa&#8217;s Young Ace magazine revealed that Rin Asano&#8217;s Deaimon manga is getting an anime adaptation. To celebrate the announcement, Asano posed an illustration on Twitter.</p>
<p>Anime News Network describes the series as:</p>
<blockquote><p>The manga&#8217;s story centers on Nagomu, a man who left his home in Kyoto and his family&#8217;s confectionary shop when he became a musician. Upon hearing that his father has been hospitalized though, he comes back home to take over the family business. However, while he was gone, a young girl named Itsuka started working at the shop. The whereabouts of Itsuka&#8217;s parents is unknown, and she has no other relatives, and Nagomu finds himself as foster parent for Itsuka. Itsuka, on the other hand, dislikes Nagomu for abandoning the family to become a musician. She proclaims that it will be her who will take over the shop one day instead of Nagomu.</p></blockquote>

<h3 style="text-align: center">Big West to Distribute Macross Works After 1987</h3>
<p>This week, the official Macross <a href="https://macross.jp/news/?id=1442" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a> announced that Big West will handle the worldwide release of the entire Macross series produced after 1987, including the upcoming Gekijōban Macross Delta: Zettai LIVE!!!!!! (Macross Delta the Movie: Absolute Live!!!!!!) film and future works. Big West will also handle the games, toys, live concert performances, and other content and merchandising.</p>
<p>Macross creator Shoji Kawamori commented on the news saying:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;For creators like me, our work only comes to life for when it is viewed by people. It seems that the time has just started to move, after years and years of stillness.&#8221; He added on Twitter, &#8220;I thought this dark tunnel would not ever end and reach the light, but gradually I started to see the dawn coming out of the long-lasting night.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<h3 style="text-align: center">86 Light Novel Gets Prequel Manga</h3>
<p>In <a href="https://www.kadokawa.co.jp/product/322012000757/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kadokawa&#8217;s</a> June issue of its Comic Alive magazine, a listing appeared for a new prequel manga for Asato&#8217;s 86 light novel series titled 86 -Fragmental Neoteny-. The magazine will ship on April 26.</p>
<p>Yen Press publishes the light novel series in English, and describes the story as:</p>
<blockquote><p>The Republic of San Magnolia has been attacked by its neighbor, the Empire. Outside the 85 districts of the Republic there is the &#8216;non-existent 86th district,&#8217; where young men and women continue to fight. Sheen directs the actions of young suicide bombers, while Lena is a “curator” who commands a detachment from a remote rear. The story of the tragic struggle between these two begins!</p></blockquote>

<h3 style="text-align: center">No Guns Life Manga Ending</h3>
<p>This week, Tasuku Karasuma <a href="https://twitter.com/karasuma2828/status/1384049114996903937" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that his No Guns Life manga will end in its 13th volume. The manga launched in August 2014. The manga&#8217;s anime adaption premiered its first half in October 2019.</p>
<p>Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:</p>
<blockquote><p>With no memory of his previous life—or who replaced his head with a giant gun—Juzo Inui now scratches out a living in the dark streets of the city as a Resolver.</p></blockquote>

<h3 style="text-align: center">Mars Red Manga Ending</h3>
<p>This week, <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2021-04-19/mars-red-manga-enters-climax-with-3rd-volume/.171889" target="_blank" rel="noopener">it was revealed</a> in the second volume of Kemuri Karakara&#8217;s manga adaptation of Bun&#8217;ō Fujisawa&#8217;s MARS RED series that the manga will end with its third volume.</p>
<p>The series received an ongoing anime adaptation. Funimation describes the story as:</p>
<blockquote><p>MARS RED takes place in 1923, and vampires have existed for quite a while. But now, the number of vampires is increasing and a mysterious, artificial blood source called Ascra has appeared.</p>
<p>The Japanese government, in turn, creates “Code Zero,” a unit within the army tasked with taking down the vampiric forces. And what better way to track vampires than by using vampires?</p>
<p>Created by Lieutenant General Nakajima, this unit has historically been in the business of information war, but has been re-assigned to solve the vampire crisis. It&#8217;s up to Code Zero and the S-class vampire Deffrot to investigate this increase and put a stop to it before society crumbles.</p></blockquote>

<h3 style="text-align: center">Kanojo mo Kanojo Premiere Date</h3>
<p>The <a href="https://kanokano-anime.com/onair/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">official website</a> for the TV anime adaptation of Hiroyuki’s manga Girlfriend, Girlfriend (Kanojo mo Kanojo) revealed that the anime will premiere on July 2.</p>
<p>Kodansha Comics began releasing the manga digitally on April 6, and describes the story as:</p>
<blockquote><p>Naoya just got a girlfriend, the gorgeous Saki-chan, and though their intensities often pit them against each other like ice and fire, they’re totally, uncontrollably in love with each other. He vows never to cheat…when out of the blue he receives another confession! Nagisa’s cute, sweet, and she’s made him lunch to boot! He knows he can’t cheat, but he can’t let a cutie like this get away…so he does the logical(?) thing: Asks Saki for permission to date them both! The confidence! The arrogance! The very gall! <h3 style="text-align: center">Restaurant to Another World Season 2 Announced</h3>
<p>The official website for Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine posted the cover image of its June issue which lists a second season for the TV anime adaptation of Junpei Inuzuka and Katsumi Enami’s <a href="https://isekai-shokudo2.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Restaurant to Another World</a> (Isekai Shokudō) light novel series. The issue is also launching Yamizawa-Morozawa’s new manga of the same series, titled Isekai Shokudō ~Yōshoku no Nekoya~ (Restaurant to Another World: Western Cuisine Nekoya), on April 26.</p>
<p>Seven Seas publishes the light novel series in English, and describes the story as:</p>
<blockquote><p>“Western Cuisine Nekoya” seems like a typical restaurant on the outside, but it hides an amazing secret: on Saturdays, portals to another world appear that allow all manner of unearthly creatures to sit down for a nice meal. Elves, dragons, or anyone else who wants to sample our world’s cuisine is welcome to partake before returning to their world, sated and ready for their next quest. <h3 style="text-align: center">Madoka Magica New Anime Film</h3>
<p>During the 10th anniversary online event for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime, <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2021-04-25/madoka-magica-gets-new-anime-film-as-sequel-to-2013-rebellion-film/.172103" target="_blank" rel="noopener">it was revealed</a> that the franchise will receive a new anime film titled Gekijōban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten (Turning the Tide of Walpurgis). The film will be an official sequel to Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion film.</p>
