Anno Online, the free-to-play online strategy game, has now entered its open public beta phase. Publisher Ubisoft said via press release, that the game is accepting new players and that those who want to voyage out on the mysterious and wavy seas can sign up at the game’s website. Pirates or captains who played last month’s closed beta will not have to worry because they can continue right from where they left off and they will receive a handsome decorative statue for their city and a special boat that is said to navigate the seas better than any other sea fairing vessel.
A guild system is planned for this month that will allow players to band together and form groups of up to 25 players.
The goal of the game is to go from being stuck on a deserted island with nothing but a harbor and warehouse up to building a gigantic commercial enterprise.
