Anti-gravity Racing Game “Pacer” Releasing Soon

The new extreme anti-gravity racer is coming September 17th to PS4, Xbox One and PC

Pacer 1

Pacer is an upcoming anti-gravity racer in the style of the classics. Think Wipeout on the PlayStation consoles, and you should have a good idea of what to expect. Pacer in many ways looks like a spiritual sequel to these games. Which is good considering Nintendo seems to all but have abandoned their F-Zero series. Pacer is described as a high octane anti-gravity combat racing game, with a variety of single-player modes, or online multiplayer with up to 10 people.

Packed Full Of Features

Pacer will have a number of interesting features. For one, your craft will be highly customizable. You’ll be able to pick from five basic craft types, and then you can customize your look, adjust your tuning, and purchase weaponry. The game features 14 tracks to race, all with interchangeable variants of mirrored, night and reverse. Which means there are 8 ways to play each track.

There are 8 game modes to choose from, including Endurance, Elimination, Flowmentum which is unique to Pacer. There are even some battle royale inspired Storm modes. Pacer also has a campaign mode, where you’ll go through 10 unique teams to become world champion.

A Spiritual Sequel To Wipeout And F-Zero

The game also features a soundtrack by Tim Wright aka CoLD SToRAGE. Wright also composed the music for the classic Wipeout games, so it makes sense to have him here. Judging by the music in the trailer, the soundtrack will be a highlight of the game. It also includes tracks by Dub FX, Ed Harrison and more licensed music.

“PACER is the fastest and most explosive game of its kind and we’re super proud as it prepares for the start line. Whether you’re into single player campaign play or inviting all your friends for multiplayer mayhem, it’s all here. Or if you’re daring and like a challenge, try our thrilling Battle Royale inspired mode, ‘Storm’.” – Steve Iles, Senior Producer

The game will arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam on September 17th. Make sure you check it out if you’re into F-Zero or Wipeout! This looks like a game worth keeping an eye out for!
