Rumor has it that Microsoft will be unveiling a new app entitled Smart Glass to allow video to be streamed to the 360 via a tablet or smartphone. They sure love their apps.
Engadget and Examiner have also reported on Smart Glass, stating it will run similar to AirPlay and that users will be able to view content on either a tablet or smartphone and then instantly switch it to a 360 should they wish to. The app will be available for devices using Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows.
If this is true, it will be a continuation of Microsoft’s desire to focus on entertainment of a variety of means rather than just gaming. Official details are rumored to be revealed at E3.
