ARCREVO Online 2020 is Coming Later this Year!

The event will be hosted in both NA and JP regions.

Arc System Works

Arc System Works America has announced the latest iteration of its tournament. The company will host ARCREVO Online 2020 in both America and Japan later this year. The North American series of events will begin in October of this year. The fighting game tournament will include several games like Granblue Fantasy Versus, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Under Night In-Birth, and more. The tournament will be presented in partnership with XSEED Games and Marvelous USA.

ARCREVO Online 2020 Details

Both series are set to begin in October though only America has a date set for the 10th. Further details are scarce aside from the U.S. being split into six regions for play: Southwest; Midwest; Northwest; South/Southeast and Northwest. Arc System Works plans to hold an America-Japan competition for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle and Granblue Fantasy: Versus for the winners of both tournaments in Spring 2021. This was probably done to make sure the event is held after the COVID-19 pandemic dies down.

So, what games are the contestants going to play? Arc System Works provided the list.

ARCREVO America Online 2020

As you can see, the American scene will not be seeing many games compared to Japan.  If I were to hazard a guess, it might be due to the recent problems with netcode. Now, it’s up to Arc System Works to announce the platforms where the tournament will be held. Perhaps we’ll see a cameo from the PC versions of GBFV and BBTAG.

Rules and registration for ARCREVO will be released at a later time. For now, you can enjoy this key art designed and drawn by the artists from Cygames. It’s a collaboration piece with Arcsys Designer Konomi Higuchi which crosses the universes of Blazblue with Granblue Fantasy. Even Ruby from Team RWBY managed to sneak in.
