Assassin’s Creed Movie Set for December 2016 Release

<p>Ubisoft&&num;8217&semi;s <em>Assassin&&num;8217&semi;s Creed<&sol;em> series is getting its own movie adaptation&comma; which is scheduled to hit big screens in the US on Dec 21&comma; 2016&period; Michael Fassbender &lpar;well known for playing Magneto in <em>X-Men&colon; First Class<&sol;em> and<em> Days of Future Past<&sol;em>&rpar; is set to star in the film which will be directed by Justin Kurzel&comma; according to <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;hollywoodreporter&period;com&sol;news&sol;fox-dates-gambit-assassins-creed-761265">The Hollywood Reporter<&sol;a>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The movie was first announced back in 2012 by Ubisoft&comma; who later went on to state that they&&num;8217&semi;d fast track the film thanks to a deal they had inked with Fox and Regency&period; Michael Fassbender had already been selected to co-produce and feature in the film&comma; with Ubisoft regarding him as their &&num;8220&semi;first choice&&num;8221&semi; for the movie&&num;8217&semi;s lead role&period; A delay occurred however when in April 2014&comma; it was announced the film would undergo a re-write with Bill Collage and Adam Cooper called in to handle doing so&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The movie will face stiff competition as a currently untitled <em>Star Wars<&sol;em> spinoff will hit cinemas the week before&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lpar;Via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;computerandvideogames&period;com&sol;483205&sol;assassins-creed-movie-dated-for-december-2016&sol;">CVG<&sol;a>&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
