Ubisoft’s E3 presentation showed off the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey world premiere trailer! This one trailer revealed so much that the game has in store for players. Players will choose to play as Alexios (the male character) or Kassandra (the female character). Having two options for the main character is an awesome direction for the Assassin’s Creed franchise. As usual, players will encounter famous historical and mythical people from history while exploring.
The Characters You’ll Meet
You will work you’re way up from being a Spartan mercenary to a Greek Hero worth of legends. Form alliances and create enemies while sailing the Aegean Sea. The official Odyssey website lists some of the characters players will meet along with beautifully sculpted marble busts to accompany the names. Players will encounter the philosopher Socrates, the historian Herodotus, and the legendary Spartan hero Leonidas among others.
Open world naval battles, weapons and armor and lots of incredible battles on land are a few distractions from the stunning world presented. Here is a quote from Ubisoft describing what players can expect to experience:
“Show off your extraordinary warrior abilities and shift the tides of battle during one of the deadliest conflicts of the time, the Peloponnesian War. Charge into epic clashes between Sparta and Athens in big battles pitting 150 vs. 150 soldiers against each other.”
The site also offers exciting blog posts on “What you need to know about living a mercenary’s life in ancient Greece”. And there is another on “forging your own spartan identity”. There is a guide to “exploring the land and sea of ancient Greece”. And there is one on “combat, armor, and weapons worthy of Achilles”.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey releases on October 5, 2018. Players may order the Gold Digital edition and download the game early on October 2, 2018, instead!
