Assassin’s Creed Unity Gets a Fifth Patch, Kills App Features

You won’t have to be logging onto your phone in Assassin’s Creed Unity much longer. Thanks to the game’s latest patch, the game’s companion app – which was previously required to unlock in-game treasure chests and weaponry – will be a thing of the past.

In addition, Ubisoft’s “Patch 5” will no longer require players to log into the Assassin’s Creed: Initiates website to collect the previously mentioned benefits. The update is said to solve glitches with the “Find Leon” objective in the Dead Kings DLC.

While Xbox One and PS4 updates are rolling out today, PC players will be getting it later in the week and improvements with reportedly see stability, connectivity, and general performance.

Ubisoft says that Patch 5 should further fix a number of random crashes in both the campaign and cooperative modes. The update will also minimize effects, texture problems, and issues regarding hacking in-game gears.
