Attention Pokémon Trainers: Catch Meloetta as Distribution Event Begins (US & UK Details)

For those who don’t know, Meloetta is the 648th Pokemon and is unobtainable by all means of Pokemon Trainer tactics. Whilst players have been begging Nintendo to release it through either a physical or Wi-Fi event it seems that they are going to finally have their chance to capture it as US and UK details have emerged, detailing how trainers can add Meloetta to their collection.

We’ve split the two events into two sections for you. US and then the UK in order to please as many readers as possible. The Meloetta will be level 50 and in its Aria form (Normal/Psychic) and will know the moves “Close Combat”, “Teeter Dance”, “Psychic” and “Round”.

How to capture Meloetta (US-Edition)

GameStop will be distributing Meloetta in the US from March 4th. This promotion will last until March 24th so you have 20 days to travel to a store before collecting this rare Pokemon. In order to receive your own Meloetta you will need to bring your own DS/3DS and a copy of Pokemon Black 2 or Pokemon White 2 to your a participating store. As with the UK event, no list of “participating stores” has been released although if it was similar to the Keldeo distribution then most stores simply host the download and you simply need to “Get via Wireless” when you go through the Mystery Gift option.

How to capture Meloetta (UK-Edition)

As with the US promotion, Game will be distributing Meloetta for copies of Pokemon Black 2 or Pokemon White 2 as long as you bring your own Nintendo DS/3DS to a participating store. Unlike the US however Game will be distributing Meloetta between the 22nd March and 19th April giving gamers a long four-week period to receive their own version of this exclusive Pokemon. We assume that this will be similar to the Keldeo event which Game hosted last year. In that event you simply had to be in-range of the store and then select “Get via Wireless” on the Mystery Gift menu.
