Welcome back to another episode of Bagocast! In this episode, we take a dive into mental illness with a short horror game called, The Shattering. If you are uncomfortable with distressing topics like depression, anxiety, abuse, etc, then we do recommend you look for a different game.
The Shattering has you control John Evans; a patient that was in a terrible accident and his memories have been shattered. During his therapy session, you need to venture through his past to piece them back together. As you begin to piece his memories together, you will notice not everything is matching up as he believes.
There is one vital detail you should know about, The Shattering; it’s a walking simulator. That means the gameplay is boiled down to clicking on stuff and walking down corridors. If that’s not down your alley, then we recommend you to look for a game that has meatier gameplay. However, the game is very short like two to three hours long, so it won’t feel like it’s dragging the story out.
