Ballistix Launches Tactical Tracer RGB DDR4 Gaming Memory

Last week (17/04/2018) Ballistix announced their new Tactical Tracer RGB Gaming Memory” range.

The modules are available in the following configurations that include 2 DIMM or 4 DIMM kits.

Each module has 16 RGB LEDs in 8 light up zones, couple these with RGB fans and an RGB compatible motherboard for the full RGB experience. Ballistix include three light bar options for further customization, a Ballistix branded light bar that provides a diffused light look, removable light bar for further brightness and followed by a 3D printable light bar option (for those that have a 3D printer that is).

You can find the 3D printer files located here.

RGB is quickly becoming the next big thing that all the big boy products are getting into, what’s all the fuss about and do we really need all the RGB inside our cases? Who knows the answer but if you’re able to sync your system LED’s with one of the manufacturers lighting programs then it can look rather impressive.

Ballistix have their own utility software that you can use to monitor temperatures and control RGB LEDs called “Ballistix M.O.D. Utility Software”. This software is exclusively designed for Ballistix modules. Gamers and modders alike will be able to change the color scheme and brightness, turn lights on and off, swap display patterns.

A lot of the members in our community love to personalize their gaming rigs and the new Tactical
Tracer RGB DDR4 modules help achieve just the style they are looking for,” said Jim Jardine, Director of
DRAM Product Marketing. “Having an RGB module with a removable light bar that enables you to
custom-make your own system gives system builders the best options for customization and
personalization.
