Batman: Arkham Knight’s Having Big Trouble on PC

As it so happens, the Scarecrow didn’t need any fear gas to realize PC gamers worst fears.

As of today, Batman: Arkham Knight‘s hit consoles and PC, the latter of which is having major issues. The game’s reportedly having trouble with everything from a capped frame rate (30 fps, but fixable via editing the .ini file), frame rate drops of 10 or more with high end GPUs, major crashes, and settings that top out at “high” rather than “ultra.”

Steam’s none too happy for it all either, with the game having earned a “mostly negative” rating based on over 3,500 user reviews at the time of this writing.

Rocksteady’s already said that it’s looking for a solution, though they have no idea when they might be able to come up with a quick fix.

“We’re aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight,” community manager “CODA” wrote. “This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible.”

There are unconfirmed rumors, meanwhile, that lead developer Rocksteady Studios outsourced Arkham Knight‘s PC version to Iron Galaxy.
