While Call of Duty goes to space in their newest entry, Infinite Warfare, EA and DICE decided to go back to World War I with Battlefield 1. A trailer has been released and can be viewed above.

Announced for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Battlefield 1 features the Great War in locations such as the besieged cityscapes of France, the Serbian desert, and the Italian Alps.

In this game, you can also go airborne with dogfights and fight on the ocean with battleships. You can ride horses too!

Aleksander Grøndal, the Senior Producer of DICE, said in the press release from EA, “The game will deliver a fresh experience full of what makes Battlefield great, with a multiplayer sandbox, immersion, epic scale, authenticity, team play and an ever-changing world full of unexpected Battlefield moments.”

The last game that was released in the series was Visceral Games’ Battlefield Hardline. Patrick Kennedy wrote a review of the game for BagoGames and said it had “Lame stealth gameplay, with a poor story, and forgettable multiplayer, [which] makes [it] one of the worst Battlefield games to date.” Let’s hope the next game does better with its single player and multiplayer offerings.

Battlefield 1 is scheduled to be released on October 21st, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
