Battlestar Galactica Says Farewell to Netflix This Weekend

Starting next month, the last Battlestar, Galactica, will no longer be traveling the space lanes of Netflix.

The reboot of creator Glen A. Larson’s original 1978 cult-classic, Battlestar Galactica was a military sci-fi television series developed by Ronald D. Moore that chronicled the exodus of the Twelve Colonies of Man from their respective home worlds in their war against own cybernetic creations, the Cylons. The series starred Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer, and Edward J. Olmos as the colonies’ leader, Adama, running from 2004 to 2009, winning a variety of awards.

The series–available on Blu-ray for $100-300–goes dark this Sunday at 12:35 pm. According to The Verge, the series runs for a total of 3,565 min. with 75 episodes total. If you start now, you might very well finish the series right on the spot if estimates are true. What are you waiting for?
