Bear vs Methlab Aims to Stop Hitler Once and For All

Bears are ferocious, yet adorable, creatures. Their aggression occasionally needs to be let out, and the team at Whitebox Interactive has found the perfect outlet for their animosity: Hitler’s meth cartel. Above is a gameplay trailer for Bear vs Methlab, which gives a good impression of what players can expect when they take on Hitler. The game releases in Q1 2017 for PC.

The story “begins when history’s worst war criminal and time-traveling necromancer hatches a plot to cook and sell meth to fund his genocidal wars in alternate universes. Only an infinite number of bears from parallel universes can stop Hitler, and put an end to his evil.” The game’s story is one thing, but what you’ll be doing in it is definitely another. Featuring several minigames, Bear vs Methlab will let players compete against friends in 4-player puke fests, sports matches (complete with explosives), the destruction of drug cartels, and a mode very reminiscent of Super Smash Bros. entitled Super Smash Bears.

It will also feature customizable avatars for players so their bear does not have to do everything without style. There will be several levels, each with a bevy of enemies to face. The worlds range from a Haunted Mansion to New Mexico, so you can expect some interesting set pieces.

Bear vs Methlab is currently on Kickstarter aiming for a $30,000 CAD target by August 31st. The game will come out regardless of how well the Kickstarter does, but if it does hit its target it will use the money to increase the number of minigames and levels available.

I look forward to seeing how much more crazy the game becomes. I mean, they are bears fighting Hitler’s drug cartel. The game has a limit on how normal it can be.
