Bethesda Announces The Evil Within, From Tango Gameworks and Shinji Mikami

The game that Bethesda has been teasing with those Vine videos has finally been revealed to be The Evil Within, a horror title being developed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of Resident Evil, and Tango Gameworks; Bethesda will be acting as the publisher. The game is set to come to the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and other next-gen systems in 2014.

“We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within,” said Mikami. “My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”

The Evil Within sees Detective Sebastian heading to a murder scene, where he then witnesses other police offices being killed before being attacked himself. He later wakes up in a world where monsters are quite real and soon find himself fighting his way through the world and confronting his fears head on.
