Bethesda, the company of Elder Scrolls and Fallout fame, have gone on record by saying that they have no plans in supporting Nintendo’s next generation console, the Wii U, due to “hardware” issues.

Speaking to Joystiq, Pete Hines, Bethesda’s marketing executive, said:
“It’s largely a hardware thing. [We] make the games that we want to make, on whatever platforms will support them as developed. None of the games we’ve announced are being developed for the Wii U, so it’;s guaranteed that none of those games are coming to Wii U.”

Eurogamer notes after this quotation that Bethesda is currently working on Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Evil Within and The Elder Scrolls Online so it looks as if Wii U fans will not be playing any of these three games any time soon…
