A Bill Murray Christmas Special By Sofia Coppola

<p><strong>Bill Murray<&sol;strong>&comma; who once teamed up with director <strong>Sofia Coppola<&sol;strong> for 2003&&num;8217&semi;s <em><strong>Lost in Translation<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; are now working on Christmas TV special&period; In this production&comma; Murray will be belting out classic holiday melodies according to the main man himself&period; Sofia Coppola confirmed as well that this is happening and isn&&num;8217&semi;t just Bill speculating or blowing smoke&period; Here are his words from Variety&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote><p>It’s not going to be live&period; We’re going to do it like a little movie&period; It won’t have a format&comma; but it’s going to have music&period; It will have texture&period; It will have threads through it that are writing&period; There will be prose&period; It will have a patina style and wit to it&period; It will be nice&period;<&sol;p><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>Sounds pretty fun considering this will be Sofia Coppola&&num;8217&semi;s first TV project ever&period; Both Coppola and Murray have been keeping themselves busy as of late&period; Coppola is preparing her version of <strong><em>The Little Mermaid<&sol;em><&sol;strong> while Murray will be starring as the lead in this month&&num;8217&semi;s <em><strong>St Vincent<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&period; This is very early news so no official word on when or where this will air on television&period; So while there&&num;8217&semi;s nothing official yet&comma; it&&num;8217&semi;s certainly an attractive project that shouldn&&num;8217&semi;t have too much trouble getting picked up&period; We already know Murray has some decent pipes from his moments on the mic in <em><strong>Lost in Translation<&sol;strong><&sol;em> and he apparently has some singing in <strong><em>St Vincent<&sol;em><&sol;strong> as well&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;variety&period;com&sol;2014&sol;tv&sol;news&sol;bill-murray-to-sing-christmas-carols-in-upcoming-tv-special-exclusive-1201329020&sol;">Variety<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
