BioShock Infinite has been delayed until February 2013. The game was originally scheduled to release this October.
“When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing. Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary,” Ken Levine, BioShock creative director said via press release. “Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February.”
BioShock Infinite was easily one of the most-anticipated games that were scheduled to release this fall. The next entry has players in the role of Booker DeWitt, an individual sent to the flying city of Columbia in 1912 to rescue a lady named Elizabeth. Columbia is a city with its own strange political tensions and with a sense of American exeptionalism.
Take heart in knowing that a lot of exceptional games are still slated for release this fall. What are your thoughts about Infinite being delayed? Do you think this will hurt or hinder the game sales?
