2K Games and Irrational Games have announced that customers who pre-order the upcoming BioShock Infinite through Amazon will receive a free bonus in the form of BioShock Infinite: Mind In Revolt, a Kindle e-book that acts as a prequel to the events of the game.
BioShock Infinite: Mind In Revolt will be available on 12th February, and as well as being free with pre-orders of the game, it is also available as a separate purchase priced at $2.99. The story is written by two members of developer Irrational Games: Writer Joe Fielder and Creative Director Ken Levine.
“Since we first announced BioShock Infinite, our fans have asked for more information about Columbia and the complex cast of characters that inhabit the floating city,” stated Fielder in a press release. “After reading the e-book, players will have a better understanding of BioShock Infinite’s world, the struggle between its factions, and the motivations of key characters, like rebel leader Daisy Fitzroy, without spoiling the mysteries of BioShock Infinite.”
BioShock Infinite is scheduled for a worldwide release on 26th March on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
