Irrational Games’ Ken Levine somehow made the wait for BioShock Infinite much more difficult to bear today, as he revealed the Premium and Ultimate Songbird Editions of BioShock Infinite.
Imagine you get to work with Robb Waters, the concept artist who visualized the cover of System Shock. The Trickster in Thief. Man-Bot in Freedom Force. BioShock’s Little Sisters. Sander Cohen. And BioShock Infinite’s Songbird.
Now imagine you can get him to personally conceive and oversee the production of the coolest statue in the world.
The Premium Edition, set at a price point of $79.99, but does not come with the Songbird statue and therefore puts it in the ‘Do Not Want’ category, comes with:
- A keychain of the Murder of Crows vigor bottle replica.
- A 5 x 7-inch lithograph by Jorge Lacera.
- A Handyman miniature from the upcoming BioShock Infinite board game by Plaid Hat Games, makers of Summoner Wars.
- A mini art book, full of BioShock Infinite concept art and commentary, with a hand-distressed cover.
- And a bunch of digital good stuff including: exclusive in-game gear, a digital soundtrack, and platform specific downloadable content (Avatar costumes for Xbox 360, and Themes for PC and PlayStation 3).
Meanwhile, the Ultimate Songbird Edition that is set to be $149.99 will have all of the items mentioned above and the Songbird statue that, get this, comes in its own box that you can then leave unopened and instead let it collect money over time. I mean, look at it, why wouldn’t you want to leave it in the box? It would probably come to life and attack you otherwise.
You can get your pre-order on here, and don’t forget to print out a picture of the Songbird statue and put it in your wallet, because that thing is amazing!
BioShock Infinite has a release date of February 26th, 2013.
