Pearl Abyss has announced a new World Boss for their MMORPG Black Desert Online. Named Ancient Kutum, players will have a massive battle ahead of them. However, unlike World Boss Kzarka, there are no hidden mechanics behind the boss.
Because of that, players will have to depend on their skills and experience. Since the battle takes place in the desert, make sure to prepare Purified Water and Star Anise Tea to remove the occasional debuff.
New Server
Pearl Abyss has also announced a new server for the game. This is because the game has exploded in popularity in South East Asia in recent months. Furthermore, various new costumes for the new classes will be included in this week’s update.
According to the developer, the explosion in popularity was due to the release of the Dark Knight, Mystic and Striker classes. That being said, it’s unclear as to how many players in South East Asia have joined since their release. It’s also unclear as to if the new server will affect players outside the region.
Lahn Class
The announcement comes not long after the announcement of Black Desert Online‘s Lahn class, which releases May 23. Speaking about the new class at the time, the developer said:
“Her story begins by becoming a priestess but falls to an evil scheme, which causes her to tragically lose her lover in the battlefield. Grieved by her loss, she realizes that strength is the only way to achieve her ideals. Determined to return to her home one day and protect the ones she loves, she embarks on a journey in search of greater power.”
Now, it looks like Black Desert Online players will be able to put the Lahn class to the test with Ancient Kutum and see how she measures up against other classes.
