Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games have announced a new class for their hit MMORPG Black Desert Online. Lahn will be added to the game on May 23. With the addition of Lahn, players can now choose between 16 diverse classes, each of which has the unique real-time action combat abilities for which Black Desert Online is famed for.
Fallen Priestess
According to Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss, the new class is an expert in martial arts. Describing the new class – which they have said is only available as a woman – the developers have said:
“Her story begins by becoming a priestess but falls to an evil scheme, which causes her to tragically lose her lover in the battlefield. Grieved by her loss, she realizes that strength is the only way to achieve her ideals. Determined to return to her home one day and protect the ones she loves, she embarks on a journey in search of greater power.”
The class also brings a unique weapon to the game, which is exclusive to the Lahn class; the Crescent Pendulum. According to reports, this is a moon blade attached to a piece of cloth, which the character will hurl at enemies in order to deal damage. The Crescent Pendulum works as the characters main hand weapon. However, her off-hand weapon is the Noble Sword, a short blade.
Nimbus Stride
Based on what we know about the class, it seems like she will add a new dimension to the MMORPG. By all accounts, she’ll be one of the agilest characters in-game, as well as one of the fastest attackers. This is set to be enhanced by her Nimbus Stride skill. This will apparently let her glide through the air with dance-like moves in order to damage enemies.
Lahn lands on Black Desert Online on May 23.
