Here is a bit of exciting news for all you vocaloid fans out there, NIS America has announced that they will be publishing Black Rock Shooter: The Game for the United States* and Europe* on April 23 and April 24 respectively via the PSN for the PSP. The Action-RPG revolves around BRS as she tries to save the last of humanity from extinction after the results of a devastating alien assault.
Not only will BRS will be able to explore the wonderfully devastated world of 2032 AD Earth, but she will take part in fast-paced battles against the deadly aliens. There will be a number of side quests to partake in which will unlock new guns, costumes, and challenges.
Besides featuring the ever so popular character that was created by artist Huke, it is worth noting that the world was also designed by him. Just how popular is Black Rock Shooter? What started out as a drawing would go on to inspire a song performed by Miku Hatsune, an OVA, an anime series, and two manga series. Not too shabby for a single character sketch that was uploaded onto a blog by a vocaloid fan. If only we were all that lucky…
