Blade Runner 2 Possibly Before Prometheus 2

<p>Director <strong>Ridley Scott<&sol;strong> has plans for sequels to his sci-fi films <em><strong>Blade Runner<&sol;strong> <&sol;em>and <em><strong>Prometheus<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; but it&&num;8217&semi;s sounding like his 1982 classic may take priority&period; While <em><strong>Prometheus 2<&sol;strong><&sol;em> was set for a 2016 release&comma; <em><strong>Blade Runner 2<&sol;strong><&sol;em> seems ready to go into production with a script by <strong>Hampton Fancher<&sol;strong> &lpar;co-writer of <em><strong>Blade Runner<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&rpar; and <strong>Michael Green<&sol;strong>&period; And though <strong>Harrison Ford<&sol;strong> has yet to accept the offer to star in the picture&comma; Scott seems very optimistic about the movie going into production soon&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote><p>It’s written and it’s damn good&period; Of course it involves Harrison&comma; who is a survivor after all these years—despite the accident&period; &lbrack;That being Ford’s Star Wars injury&period;&rsqb; So yes&comma; that will happen&period;<&sol;p><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>It sounds like Scott wants to head into production right after he finishes his next sci-fi film&comma; <em><strong>The Martian<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&period; But this all depends on Ford&&num;8217&semi;s involvement as well as Scott&&num;8217&semi;s schedule which is already pretty full with <em><strong>Prometheus 2<&sol;strong><&sol;em> and his <em><strong>David &amp&semi; Goliath<&sol;strong><&sol;em> epic he has planned&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Ridley&&num;8217&semi;s Scott&&num;8217&semi;s next film due to hit theaters this fall is the religious epic <em><strong>Exodus<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;insidemovies&period;ew&period;com&sol;2014&sol;08&sol;25&sol;ridley-scott-the-martian-blade-runner-prometheus-sequels&sol;&quest;hootPostID&equals;e70278c01dc7b900e2c1c3319cfc2815">EW<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
