Blazblue Alternative Darkwar is Coming to Japan Android/iOS in February

The Wheel of Fate is Still Turning

BlazBlue Alternative Dark War

Well, that’s an appearance that will take some people by surprise. A new trailer for BlazBlue Alternative Darkwar has been released. This trailer shows that it’s going to be an RPG reboot. Not only that, but the game will feature past Blazblue characters. In fact, some characters from XBlaze are going to make an appearance as well. However, I’m pretty sure that there will be an aspect of the game that will turn some BlazBlue fans off. That is the fact that this is going to be yet another gacha game.

So far, we know that the game will be released in Japan sometime in February. Unfortunately, it also means that there are no hints about whether or not the game will come overseas. The game will be available for iOS and Android systems. I’m going to shout out TFG| Cross Network because they’ve uploaded a list of the characters featured in the game. Check it out here:

You might recognize Ciel from BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. You know, that one avatar that people didn’t know about? Yeah. We’re probably going to see a more elaborated story for this character once Darkwar releases. There’s also a pre-reg campaign for Japanese users. You should check the website if you want to know more about this campaign. However, from the rough looks of things, the more users register the bigger and better rewards they’ll get once the game comes out.

The game is an RPG developed as a genuine sequel to the BlazBlue series, featuring episodes from the “Darkwar” that started the series. The scenario, which promises overwhelming volume (over two million Japanese characters) and quality, was supervised entirely by producer Toshimichi Mori.

What do you think about Blazblue Alternative Darkwar? Are you going to play this game once it releases? Will you wait for the western localization?
