Many Blockbuster stores will be closing across the UK, their administrators have confirmed although extra information was included which, at the expense of current staff, should entice shoppers to visit their local branch for possibly the last time.
There are 160 planned closures and these stores will not shut immediately as “customers will be given advanced warning so they can return any rental items first”.
Blockbuster’s administrator, Deloitte, also confirmed that there will be “a number of closing down promotions” in the affected stores meaning you may be able to grab a few bargains here and there.
