Blood Bowl: Star Coach announced

<p>Games Workshop and Cyanide have announced the upcoming release of a new title in the <em>Blood Bowl<&sol;em> franchise in the form of <em>Blood Bowl&colon; Star Coach<&sol;em>&period; The game will be a free-to-play title and is scheduled for release sometime in the second quarter of 2013 on PC&comma; Mac and tablets&period;<em><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Based on Games Workshop&&num;8217&semi;s fantasy football game world&comma; the most recent Blood Bowl game &lpar;also developed by Cyanide&rpar; was released on PC and a handful of consoles in 2009 to a mixed reception&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The upcoming <em>Blood Bowl&colon; Star Coach<&sol;em> brings with it a focus on team-building&comma; with the player being able to choose team members from races such as human&comma; elf&comma; and dwarf&period; According to a press release&comma; the game &&num;8220&semi;tasks the player with creating his own Blood Bowl team &lpar;choosing from different races and players&rpar; and the development of his own offensive and defensive playbook&period; The player will then challenge other coaches&comma; no matter which digital platform they play on&comma; and choose the strategy that best fits his opponent&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;Matches are resolved by an online server and a ranking system designates the best coaches&comma;&&num;8221&semi; the press release continues&period; &&num;8220&semi;Coaches can develop their teams in a variety of different ways and have the opportunity to improve their teams by hiring Star Players or recruiting new staff&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;Blood Bowl&colon; Star Coach will interest both fans of football management as well as pure Blood Bowl enthusiasts&comma;&&num;8221&semi; added Patrick Pligersdorffer&comma; CEO of Cyanide&period; &&num;8220&semi;Players will encounter all the typical emotions and depth of play of a management game as well as the fun and originality specific to the Blood Bowl universe&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
