Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon released in 2018 after a successful Kickstarter campaign. The game is an 8bit style homage to the classic Castlevania games on NES, utilizing a lot of the same formula and atmosphere. It is the very definition of a spiritual sequel.
Only 2 years later we are already getting Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon 2. And this time, we’re getting more characters as well. The full sequel was announced at this year’s New Game+ Expo, followed by a full gameplay reveal by Inti Creates.
New Characters
In addition to playing as Zangetsu, Curse Of The Moon 2 features a cast of additional playable characters. These are unlocked during gameplay, which adds some diversity to the gameplay.
Dominique from Ritual Of The Night makes her 8bit debut in the sequel. With a slight redesign to her clothing to make her stand out more. Other playable characters include a soldier and a robot.
The story will have multiple scenarios and outcomes. So with the new cast of characters, this is definitely a sequel worth keeping an eye out for.
