Sometimes getting away from a screen can be hard. In an age where monitors seem so centric to our lives shutting off these off can almost feel like a tragedy. However, just because the consoles and p.c. tower are off does not mean that the gaming fun has to end. Remember those family game nights, the ones where our parents would gather us up all at a table? They’d open up a box with a board game and everyone would kill a few hours. Families would sit enjoying the activity, enjoy one another’s company. Board games still exist, as surprising as that might seem to some of us! And a lot of them are now themed so that we can enjoy our favorite video game characters while playing them!
From Mario to Fallout and everything in between here are some of my favorite video game inspired board games! There is also a puzzle snuck in for good measure! This guide includes several forms of Monopoly, Clue, Yahtzee, and Chess sets among other items. Some of these can be played in a matter of minutes others take a few hours. Some can be played alone others are best played with a group of four or more.
