Bodycount Official Launch Trailer

Bodycount isn’t just another first-person shooter, it’s been a long time coming. Many of you may remember way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth their was a system called the Xbox and on that said system their was a pretty decent first-person shooter called Black (You know, a former CIA agent goes rogue and becomes a terrorist and you have to hunt him down?! – Come on guys, it wasn’t that long go!). Well, if you know anything about the Black title you know it was tragically a one hit wonder. It came, it saw, and it was gone. So now fast forward out of the stone age and back to the present it turns out these guys from Guildford Studio behind Black are still knocking around and are in the fact the same developers of Bodycount! You see where I’m going with this. They’re billing Bodycount as the spiritual successor to Black. A little late, but Awesome!

The story picks up with a former American soldier named Jackson whose recently been recruited by a illusive organization named “The Network.” Basically, they’re the guys that take care of things when neither the U.S. or U.N. dares to touch it (you can bet peacekeeping is not their thing). Jackson eventually realizes that wars and conflicts may be caused by certain individuals which he will most likely pursue. The character of Jackson is close in resemblance to actor Chris Pine from Star Trek fame.

Bodycount is scheduled for release on August 30, 2011 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.  Check out the official launch trailer for Bodycount below.
