Borderlands 2 will feature a ‘Gore Toggle’ which will allow gamers to a adjust the amount of gore they come across as they plow through the game. An uncut version of Borderlands 2 will be released across the globe, much to the delight of gamers looking for uncensored version of the title. The original title, Borderlands, was toned down for specific regions such as Germany and Australia.
In a blog post by Gearbox, the company stated, “We’re happy to announce that Borderlands 2 will be uncut all over the world!
“Some fans will remember that the first Borderlands game was a bit toned down in certain territories compared to the rest of the world. No longer! Do you live in Germany? Australia? Bandits will be just as likely to explode into bloody chunks of awesomeness as they will be in Canada or England (which is to say: very likely.)
“Or, maybe you’re the type who abhors violence. You’re in luck – we’ve implemented a Gore Toggle option. With a single button press, you can turn Borderlands a less violent experience!”
Borderlands 2 will be out on September 18 for NA and September 21 for the rest of the world. Pre-ordering the title from specific retailers will grant gamers access to the Premiere Club for extra goodies such as the ‘Vault Hunter’s Gearbox Gunpack’ as well as the ‘Mechromancer character class’ for free once it is ready.
